'Ngày Giỗ' is an installation inspired by the game 'Chinese Whisper'. ‘Ngày Giỗ’ (translated ‘Death Anniversary’) has a significant impact on the artists' lives and tells a story through their own experiences and memories. The altar of death is a central part of most Vietnamese homes regardless of religion.

The installation consists of an altar and various objects, which are decorated to commemorate and celebrate the dead - some objects are from the artist's parents' own private death altars. Fruit, food and beverages are inspired by Buddhist tradition and serve as sacrificial offerings to the Spirits. This installation is a personal expression and is not tied to a fixed form or any particular religion.

The altar of death is accompanied by a live audio recording of mesmerizing voices from an authentic death anniversary. 'Ngày Giỗ' is an audiovisual-olfactory installation that combines visual elements, sound and scents to create a sensual experience to the outside audience and external world.
